The free AI visibility check, in Claude

Last updated: 27 October 2026

Ask Claude whether AI assistants mention your business, and get a measured answer. The check picks six buyer questions for your category and city, asks each one on ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, records all 18 answers with the sources they returned, and counts how many contain your business's name.

01What you get

  • How many of the 18 answers contain your business's name, per engine and per question.
  • The other names and the source sites that come up most in the answers, each with its count.
  • How the check was run: the date, the engines and models, and the instruction sent with each question.
  • A report page with every question, answer and source, at its own link on try28labs.com.

Every number is a count from the recorded answers. There's no score.

02How to add it

  • From the Claude directory: add “28 Labs AI Visibility Check” and connect it. There's no sign-in.
  • As a custom connector: in Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and use this address: https://mcp.try28labs.com/mcp
  • In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http 28labs-check https://mcp.try28labs.com/mcp

Then ask in your own words, for example: “Does ChatGPT mention my clinic? Our website is example.com.” A check usually takes 3 to 9 minutes.

03The two tools

  • start_visibility_check starts a check for one website. It reads the business name, category and city from the site. When it can't read them with confidence, it shows what it read and asks you to confirm first; nothing runs until you do.
  • get_visibility_check reads a check: how many answers are in while it runs, then the counts, the names, the sources and how it was run.

04What it sends and keeps

  • It sends the website address you give, and the business name, category, city and country if you add them.
  • The check service reads the public homepage of that website. Nothing is installed or run on your computer.
  • Each result is published on its own page at try28labs.com/check, which search engines are asked not to index. Anyone with the link can open it.
  • For every tool call we keep the tool's name, the website or check id it was given, the outcome and the time. Nothing else from your conversation is kept.
  • When a check starts, the 28 Labs team gets an email with the business name, website, category and city.
  • There's no sign-in, and you're never asked for an email address.

05Limits

  • 20 new checks a day across all users. The count resets at 00:00 UTC.
  • A website checked in the last 30 days gets that check again instead of a new one.
  • Some websites can't be checked.
  • There is one recorded answer per question and engine, from one day. Answers change from one run to the next.
  • Each question is sent with an instruction from 28 Labs that asks the engines to name and rank specific businesses, so the answers can differ from what the apps show.
  • The check counts what the answers say. It doesn't verify the claims inside them.
